Preparing PDF files on a PC

The following is a list of instructions to prepare a Adode PDF (Portable Document Format) file to send to Style. This is also a preferred method as it makes sure all fonts and images are included in the file. Below is a list of steps involved in creating a PDF file.

1 - Do you have Adobe Acrobat

Creating a PDF requires you have a version of Abobe Acrobat 4 or above. To purchase the software visit the Adobe site to find out who stocks it.

2 - Creating a suitable PDF

For instructions to create a PDF from various applications consult Adobe Acrobat help. Basically you print from your application to a printer called Acrobat Distiller.

Ensure you select the properties of this printer and select the "AdobePDF Settings" tab and change the "Conversion settings" to "Press" this ensures Style get the quality we need to create the best output for you.

Providing us with a file which does not have the settings for "press" selected can result a low resolution therefore lower quality output.

PDF files can not be accepted for use with our Large Format printer. Eg paper sizes over "SRA3" (Oversize A3)
