Lamination services
Lamination is an ideal method to transform your artwork into a finished promotional item. The process offers better protection from discolouration, wear and tear and distortion. It can improve the life and beauty of your artwork or photograph. Items can be protected from light, moisture and air, which is great for archiving purposes. Protection is almost instant.
At Style, the lamination methods (hot encapsulation) are quick and efficient. As our services provide a special protective coating, the photographs become highly durable and waterproof. Lamination is one of our specialties. We are renowned for our high-quality laminates, outstanding service and low prices and have long been known for having one of thickest laminates available on the northern beaches.
We have a wide range of laminating options to suit your specifications and budget. Our high-quality laminating services are perfect for posters, banners, displays, signs, photos and artworks. We can laminate any paper up to 1000mm wide. We use an extensive variety of substrates, papers and films. We can finish the job by trimming to size and adding round corners, eyelets, velcro, chains and many other accessories.
Lamination can be trimmed flush to the paper, single or double-sided, or encapsulated with a sealed edge. We provide services for matte and gloss laminating, including dry wipe finish and anti-vandal laminates. The use of deep crystal over-lamination produces an anti-glare, scuff-resistant texture. Style's tough, durable backing substrate is perfect for all display graphics. We also offer over-laminate protection for mounted display graphics that protects the prints from damages caused by handling and splashes.
FAQ
What are the sizes you can laminate?
We can laminate any width up to 1000mm and any length. This means all sizes, from business cards to large posters, can be accommodated.
What type of lamination do you provide?
We have two laminating machines on site that use a hot encapsulation method. Your print will be laminated on both sides of the paper and an edge will remain on the finished product to ensure that air and moisture cannot get in.
Our large laminate has a thick 125um gloss on one side of the paper and an 80um matte on the other, so you always have the choice of finish. We use this machine for sizes A2 and over.
Our small laminator is 320mm wide and is 125um gloss on both sides. We use this machine for all sizes from business cards through to A3.
We also provide a cold laminating service for prints that only require one sided-laminating, that need to be trimmed flush to the edge or have solid coverage.
What is the difference between matte and gloss?
Matte laminate is lower gloss, therefore better suited to a document which will be shown in situations where reflections can occur.
Gloss laminate is shiny and therefore tends to bring out colour from the original.
Is there a different between matte and gloss prices?
No, the prices remain the same, except for a small document to be matte laminated we charge 50% extra.
My document will be situated outside. Does this impact on whether I should have gloss or matte laminate?
Yes, this makes a massive difference. Gloss laminate has a highly reflective surface, so it makes it harder to read outside because the sun or light will bounce off the top. If this is the case then we suggest that you go for a matte laminate instead.
